Rita Hepworth

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Rita on April 3rd, 2024, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Phillip. Loving mother of Christopher Fortier. (Ashley MacMillan), and by Phillip’s children, Sherry Hepworth and Dennis Hepworth. Cherished grandma of Tyler & Jack. Her 24/7 companion Scooter will miss her terribly.

She will be sadly missed by her brother Robert (Cecile) Fortier, by her sister Lise (Norm) Pilon, by her sisters-in-law Carole (Bob) Pilon, Diane Oliver and by her nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henri & Lucette Fortier, by her in-laws Jack & Iris Hepworth, by her brother-in-law George Hepworth, and by her sister-in law Eleanor Hepworth.

She was employed at the post office and convenient store in the Porcupine Mall for many years.

She loved spending time at her big bear camp, fishing with her husband Phillip and spending time with family & friends.

Phillip would like to thank Rita’s long-time nurse and friend Heather Pizzola for all her care, compassion and friendship.

Donations to the South Porcupine Food Bank will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday April 10th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Stinson Funeral Home.
