Margaret Nelson (nee Beelby) 

It is with profound sadness we that we announce the passing of Margaret Nelson at Extendicare Timmins on June 30th, 2021, with her granddaughter by her side. She was 89 years old. Margaret was born on September 12th, 1931, in Barrie, Ontario. 

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Edward Beelby, her husband of 45 years Gustave Nelson and by her daughter Rosemary Narda. She had 3 loving daughters Debra (Richard) Jarvensivu, Rosemary and Pamela (Jim) Miron. Margaret only had one grandchild Maria Narda (Alain Champagne). She adored her 2 beautiful great-grandchildren Riley and Sydney Champagne. 

Margaret is survived by her sister Kathryn Jean and Eleanor Hutchinson. She is predeceased by her brother Douglas Beelby and brother-in-law Lawrence Jean. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Margaret followed in her mother’s footsteps and worked as a nurse at Porcupine General Hospital for over 35 years. 

The family would like to thank Extendicare Timmins for their exceptional care during the past 3 years to Margaret. The nurses, PSW’s, Dr. Vaithilingam and Dr. Ditullio on the Kamiskotia floor. 

Donations to the Timmins and District Humane Society or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

As per Margaret’s wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
