In Loving Memory of
Campbell Laura (née Marks)
With sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Laura Campbell on Friday September 23 at age 90. Survived by her only child, who always had her heart, Marty Andrechek (Brenda). Loving and devoted grandma to her ‘sweet pea’ Melinda (Shane) Young and adoring great-grandma of Kaitlyn and Ryan. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Fred and Sam Marks. Also survived by her brother Gil (Phyllis) Marks. Special aunt of Susan, Joanne, Janet and many nieces & nephews.
Laura was predeceased by the love of her life Elmer (Soopee), her parents Janet and Fred Marks, her daughter-in-law Melitta and her sister Catherine. Laura and Elmer had many fun filled adventures together and she was the happiest when she was with him at their home on Dalton Road entertaining, capped off with a huge bonfire. Their daily ritual was to sit in the car with their Tim Hortons coffee watching the ducks at Gilles Lake. There always was a lot of laughs while in her company. She loved her family fiercely, always had a big smile on her face, and had love in her heart for everyone she knew. She was the most selfless woman. She generously helped many family and friends throughout her entire life.
Rest in Peace now mom. You are reunited with your beloved Elmer. You will forever have my love and gratitude.
We would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Porcupine Lake for their care of Laura. As per her wishes there will be no visitation or service. Her wish is that any remembrance donations be made to Timmins and District Hospital.
