In Loving Memory of
James Kevin Fitchett died peacefully in his sleep on November 6th, 2021 at the age of 65. Much loved son to the late Albert Carl Fitchett and the late Doris Mabel Fitchett (née Anderson). Beloved brother of Inez Jane Giasson of Kapuskasing, and Bruce Allen Fitchett (Robin) of Stratford, P.E.I. Will lovingly be remembered by his nephews David Giasson (Chantelle Mahoney) of Bowmanville, ON, and Michael Giasson (Christina White) of Gravenhurst, ON. He adored his great-nieces & nephews Mackenna Giasson, Khloe Tarditti, Carter Giasson, Sebastian Giasson of Bowmanville, ON and Madeleine Giasson of Gravenhurst, ON. Having no children of his own he loved his nephews as if they were his own as he did his great-nieces and nephews. He will be remembered also by all of his cousins in the Anderson clan who affectionately referred to him as “Little Jimmy”.
Jim was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Timmins Branch, the Masonic Lodge of Timmins, the Shrine Club of Timmins and the Algoma Chapter O.E.S. He was very proud of his affiliation with these organizations. Jim will be remembered by his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a true-blue Leaf Fan.
Donations to the Kapuskasing Community Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
