Gregory Charles Krankovich

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Greg Krankovich surrounded by his family on the 21st of March 2024 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 76. 

Loving husband of Linda Krankovich (Bertrand). 

Beloved father of Natasha Roberts (Dino) and Tanya Reimer (Dan). 

Dear grandfather of Mikhayla (Manny), Mackenzie (Pat), Vincent (Chloe), Caroline, Cael and Bode. 

Greg leaves behind brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerard Bertrand (Pirkko), Lucien Bertrand (Anny), Maurice Bertrand (Michelle) Carlene Ruddell (John) and Marianne Jones (John). 

Survived by his cousin Nancy Bertrand (late brother-in-law Sylvio Bertrand), as well as late sisters-in-law Suzanne Bertrand and Cecil Lefebvre. 

He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends and especially his fur baby Gus. 

Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Helen Krankovich and in laws Edward and Yvonne Bertrand. 

Greg had over 30 years of service for the City of Timmins as the Chief Building Official.

Greg was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #287 for many years.

He was a very social person and loved to tell stories of his adventures. 

Greg enjoyed his daily walks with Ron and his soup & wing lunches with Mike. 

As a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Greg longed to see them win the Stanley Cup again. 

To all his golf partners, Greg is now teeing up and swinging his clubs on the golf course in the sky. 

Greg will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends and always remembered in their hearts.   

A special thank you to the doctors, nursing staff and personal support workers at TADH for their exceptional care and kindness to Greg over the past few years. 

In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations in his memory will be graciously received through the funeral home to the Timmins & District Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
