Giovanni (John) Sicoli

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Giovanni (John) Sicoli on April 10th, 2024, at the age of 95 at the Timmins Extendicare. John was predeceased by his wife Alvina Sicoli (née Brownlee). He will be dearly missed by his daughter Trudy (Ray) Boetto and his grandchildren Stacey and Steven Boetto, his sister-in-law Linda Burns and brother-in-law Roy (Jean) Brownlee.

John was predeceased by his daughter Pamela Sicoli, by his parents Peter & Dominica Sicoli, by his brother Frank Sicoli, by his sister-in-law Lucy Sicoli, and by his brothers-in-law Brian Burns and Elvin Brownlee.

He will be remembered by all his nieces & nephews.

John was a machinist for 40 years at the Dome Mines and also worked part-time for 17 years at Nick’s Poolroom in South Porcupine. He loved working, and I think he loved it so much because these young guys kept him young at heart.

The family would like to thank Don and Marj Farnel for all their help and special Kindness toward John. They were neighbours and friends for many years.

Special thanks to all the staff at Timmins Extendicare (Kamiskotia) for their care.

As per his wishes, cremation will take place and there will not be a viewing or service at this time.

Donations to a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
