Eric Harmanmaa
It is with great sorrow that his family announces his unexpecting passing on December 19, 2020 at the age of 66 years. Loving father of Michael Harmanmaa (Vanessa) and Mark Harmanmaa (Lauren). Cherished grandfather of Emmersen, Thatcher and Lilah. Predeceased by his parents, Erkki and Anikki Harmanmaa.
Eric had a long career at the Kidd Met Site working primarily in tailings. His longstanding tradition of sacrificing a chicken (rubber) in hopes of a manageable spring runoff as the warmer weather rolled in still continues to this day. He was an outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing and hunting. He took great pride in teaching his grandchildren how to fish and loved to remind his eldest son that he outfished him regularly.
