It is with great sorrow that his wife Sue (née Rochon) announces the passing of her husband Edward Lauten on Monday January 4th, 2021 at the Timmins and District Hospital. He will be missed by his stepdaughters Carmen (Patrick) Michelle (Clint) Jacqueline (David), his 5 grandchildren and by his 5 great-grandchildren.
Edward was predeceased by his parents Joe & Patrica Lauten and by his in-laws Rolly & Alice Lachance, and Dan Rochon.
He worked for Goldcorp for 20 years as a millwright and was in the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years.
He was a member of the South Porcupine Legion Branch # 287 and spent many evenings having a few beers with his many friends at the Legion and Jakes. Cremation has taken place as per Edward’s wishes and there will not be a visitation or service.
